Camellia Show 2011
Waverley Garden Club Camellia Show 2011(including floral art) presented by Camellias Victoria Inc. and Waverley Garden Club Inc. was held on 20-21 August 2011.
The gold ribbon for the Victorian Winter Floral Art Championship was again won by our own president Noreen Donovan for her fabulous contemporary pedestal arrangement incorporating cane titled ‘With a Swirl and a Twirl’.
The blue ribbon for the best exhibit in Floral Art was won by Rosie Dougherty for her intricately wired shoulder corsage incorporating bling. Anne Ashby came all the way from South Australia again and won the Waverley Garden Club Trophy to honour 50 years of WGC with a beautiful traditional design titled ‘Golden Years’. Linda Grigg won the Mr & Mrs Geoff Sherrington Trophy for ‘Pretty as a Picture featuring Camellias in a frame’. Jenny Peiper won the Jean Rodda Perpetual Trophy for the best ‘Biedermeier design in green and white suitable for a wedding’. The Beth Smith Perpetual Trophy for best modern/contemporary arrangement was awarded to Alicja Kowalczyk for ‘Chilli Delight’.
