Camellia Show 2012
The Waverley Garden Club Inc Floral Art Group celebrated our Golden Anniversary show in conjunction with the Camellia Society Inc and Waverley Garden Club Inc on 18-19 August 2012. A big thank you to all who helped to make the show the outstanding success it was. Many thanks to the Floral Art Society of Victoria and the Victorian Floral Art Judges Association for the beautiful stage design displays. We had 72 beautiful exhibits on show.
The gold ribbon for the Victorian Winter Floral Art Championship titled ‘2012 and Beyond’ was won by our own president Noreen Donovan for her beautiful contemporary design. The blue ribbon for the best exhibit in Floral Art and the Jean Rodda Perpetual Trophy for the best wall hanging titled ‘Golden Reign’ was won by Nicole Gibson. Jenny Peiper won the Barry Johnson Trophy for the best ‘Hat made from horticultural material featuring Camellias’. The Beth Smith Perpetual Trophy for best modern/contemporary arrangement was awarded to Elizabeth Cutler for ‘Just the two of us’.
