Feb/March 2018 Meetings
We started the year with a back to basics workshop where we learnt how to manipulate leaves and basic pinning techniques. We learnt how to split/tear/bend, plait and weave various leaves and had fun pinning leaves and making different spheres. The bench designs were titled ‘A summer Design’ and ‘stem, spike or truss’ was the horticultural item.
At the March meeting we learnt about bundling and clamping. Elizabeth showed us how to make contemporary designs using these techniques. For the bench we had ‘A foliage design incorporating spheres’ and ‘stem, spike or truss’ was the horticultural item.
